There is an abundance of the red stuff in Sweeney Todd, and I don’t mean Democratic states. Although Burton did not spare on the blood, it is not a gory film. The blood is such a contrasting bright red it is not realistic and there is no gory, lingering closeups of slashed throats and severed arteries so I really would not let that aspect detour those of a sqeamish nature.
