Cheap book: Exchange, Trade, Swap, Buy and Sell Books at SwitchPlanet.com

With SwitchPlanet.com you can do all the above using our internal currency called switchbucs. It’s been called book exchange, book trade, book swap, bartering, switching, buying, selling and much more but here at SwitchPlanet you can refer to it however you like. The simple concept is that you sell/trade/etc. the Books you have for switchbucs and then you use your switchbucs to buy/request the Books you want from other SwitchPlanet members.

Step 1: Create a FREE account at SwitchPlanet.com

To get started of course you have to create a FREE account at SwitchPlanet.com. To do so go here:

New Account Signup

Complete all your account info like name, address and also don’t forget to fill out your user profile so other members can see who it is they’re doing transactions with.

Step 2: Add the Books you want to sell/trade

Once you’re signed up navigate over to the “Add Your Items” search via the link near the top right of the site right below the main site search…or you can just go here:

Use this search tool to find all your Books. Once you’ve found what you’re looking for simply click on the “Have it” link which will take you through the steps required to add your item to your have list and if you want make it available to trade/sell.

Step 3: Add the Books you want to your “Wish List”

You can add Books to your wish list numerous ways by either browsing other members have lists, browsing the main genres, using the main site search or better yet if you know exactly what you want navigate over to the “Add Your Items” search tool:

Once you’ve found something you want simply click on the “Wish it” link and it will be automatically added to your wish list. If something on your wish list becomes available the site will let you know by sending you an email.

Step 4: Request/Buy the Books you want

If you find a Book you want you can request/buy it from any member who has it available to sell/trade. Navigate to the detail page for the item you want where you will find a list of members who have it available near the top. Once you’ve chosen the member you would like to buy/request it from simply click on the “Buy it” link next to their item listing. From there you will be taken through the “checkout” process. If you have enough switchbucs for the transaction nothing more is needed simply click on the blue “Request Switch” button and you’re all done.

If you don’t have enough switchbucs in your account for something you want you have the option to purchase the needed switchbucs using a credit card (1 switchbucs = $0.50).

Step 5: Rate and Review the Books you receive at SwitchPlanet.com

To rate a Books navigate to the detail page for the Book you want to review and click on the “Rate it” link. From there you can rate it on a scale of 1-5 and also write a brief review for others to read.
